ARSENAL resume their Premier League title bid with a trip to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United on Monday night.
This match will be played on 05/03/2024 at 03:00
Monday’s football game between Sheffield United and Arsenal will bring down the curtain on the Premier League round 27. The Blades aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Brighton and Wolverhampton, but they will have a mountain to climb against the Gunners. Given the number of absentees in the home team, we are not tempted to put our money on the relegation strugglers.
Mikel Arteta’s men, on the other hand, rolled over Newcastle United 4-1 to stay in the title race. Anyhow, David faces Goliath at Bramall Lane and anything but a routine away win would be a big surprise. Both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey should be fit for the match, while both Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber remain on the sidelines with injuries. In their last meeting at the venue Arsenal outplayed Sheffield United 3-0 and we predict that history is going to repeat itself.
Outright Betting
Sheffield United are a whopping 18/1 to earn what would be just their fourth league win of the season while a share of the Steel City spoils is also considered improbable at 7/1.
Arsenal are comfortable 2/11 favourites on Wjcasino favourites to claim what would be a seventh consecutive Premier League victory.
Betting Angles
With Arsenal understandably unbackable at the above-mentioned price, I’ll head to the Bet Builder and combine an away win alongside Over 2 Arsenal Corners and Anel Ahmedhodžić to commit a foul at 4/5 .
As already alluded to, Arsenal are in flying form and they should secure another three points with room to spare against a Sheffield United side who look doomed to the drop.
The Blades have been battered 5-0 in each of their last two Premier League home games, which does not bode well ahead of a visit from an Arsenal side who have recorded 6-0 and 5-0 wins across their last two top-flight road trips.
As such, backing the Gunners to bank three points at Bramall Lane is a no-brainer, but to boost the odds, I’ll also take the visitors to earn at least three corners.
Mikel Arteta’s men are averaging a sizeable 7.58 corners per-game in the Premier League this season, so a mere three flag-kicks should be within reach against their hapless hosts.
